Main Charities Announced for 2026 Ashby Santa Fun Run & Walk

 

Following an assessment of local charities we're pleased to announce that the main beneficiaries of this years Santa Fun Run & Walk will be Bright Hope in North West Leicestershire and me&dee. These are two fantastic charities doing amazing work across North West Leicestershire for children, families and the elderly. They are both local, small and ensure money goes directly to helping providing for services to help those in need with a clear view of where the money goes. We're sure these will be popular choices. We will also be awarding some smaller donations to a number of other local charities which will be announced after the event.

​​​​​​​​Ashby Santa Fun Run & Walk returns for 2026!

We are delighted to announce the return of the Ashby Santa Fun Run & Walk 2026, our 12th year!

​

​The 2026 event will once again be held over the Ashby Christmas lights switch on and Christmas Market weekend which culminates with the Ashby Santa Fun Run & Walk on Sunday 6th December. We'll be starting and finishing on the Ashby Bath Grounds with entertainment and fun across the morning. Our chosen charities will be announced in the coming weeks and we look forward to raising as much as possible for our local charities to provide much needed support.

We'll be looking to open entries for this years event in October so keep an eye out here and on our Facebook page for details of when we're live.

We'll continue to offer discounted family and group tickets to help to maintain the great value of this event and continue our successful fancy dress competition which will see us hand out some great prizes. We'll again be asking people to dress in their best, bright Christmas clothes/fancy dress with prizes for the best dressed children and adults! We're hoping to see plenty of Santa hats, Christmas jumpers or a full Santa or Christmas suit, whatever you choose.....obviously the bigger, brighter and more festive the better!

​All entrants will still receive a medal and there will also be a free chocolate bar for all who enter.

​​

Entries will be £8 per person for all ages with a group ticket available for 4 entries at £28 and discounts for larger groups.
